Can we just skip to the "Eating treats" part?
She leads me to the kitchen and makes me "Stay" (she says it helps train my "Stay" command too) while she hides those treats. She lets me see where she hides the treats from afar, so I can have a vague idea of where those treats are. The house is big for a dog like me!
Me patiently waiting :)
Can you spot that yellow treat? XD
Whem Mum is done, she says "Come" and this is my cue to come and sniff out my treats! :D (Definitely my favourite part!)
Oh hey, FOUND ONE!
And another one...
And one more by the piano bench!
Mum says she'll gradually increase the difficulty of the game by hiding it under my toys or a cushion or something. Sheesh. But the game is something different from what I usually do ("Paw!" "Sit!" "Lie Down!" "Walk!" etc...) so I'm happy :)
She says it's really good cos it "stimulates my mind" and "use my nose to follow scents". Ehm. Whatever you say, Mum. Apparently she reads dog magazines and they tell her that a dog should not only get physical activity but also stimulate his brain and stuff.
But she can't find those mind puzzles for dogs or whatever in pet stores, so she says it's good to just make up a game. Blah blah blah, all boring human stuff.
Here is MY take on the game: If it lets me eat more treats, count me in!! :)
This is my "Count me in" face! :D
